The embryonic development of Megalobrama skoikovii was studied from 1989-1990.The fertilized eggs of Megalobrama skoikovii were obtained by artificial spawning and natural insemination .They were treated in trypsase solution in order to remove the egg membrane, then the naked eggs were cultured consequently in Holtfreter solution and aerated distilled water, 29 development stage characteristics were described and illustrated.
