The paper deals with feeding and growth of domestication S. Meridionalis Chen larvae under different kinds of food from July to August, 1992.Experiment shows that the larvae grew fast,especially by feeding platable life fishes.When life fishes were fed to larvae, their body weight increased 2.67,4.60 times as heavy as original weight for 21 days, 37.9-84.3% faster than those fed with fish meat.The larvae had defferent feeding habits in the morning and at night.The daily feeding amount per gram body weight lalvae was 0.1-0.2g for life fishes and 0.18-0.29g for fish meat everyday.The former food coefficient was 2.32-3.12, and the later, 4.15-7.86.The results also show that the larvae fed artificial mixed feed, if only they were domesticated gradually by higher protein feed.Growth rate was affected during domestication, while fcxxl coefficient was higher too.
