In view of the natural geographic and climate features in the plain-lake areas in Hubei Province, and because of weak flood-control ability and disability to prevent the cloudburst and devastating floods, and also because of being subjected to flood damages in these areas, this paper carries out a thorough discussion about the situations of geomorphologic features, rain intensity, hydrologic region flood damages etc.in this area, and an exact analysis of the flood in the plain-lake areas is conducted.At the same time, some specific measures about the flood-control and waterlog-drainage have been adopted, concerning about water conservancy project administration, the application of dispatch, the reasonable utilization of the water resources of the lakes, the water conservancy plans in the farming areas, making a full use of the available conservrancy installation in the waterlogged areas.
