Abstract:By using fuzzy cluster analysis on 8 parameters including total-hardness, pH, dissolved-oxygen, COD,total-nitrogen,total-phsphorus,phytoplankton and diaphaneity of 42 main lakes in China,a trophic classification method is discussed for comparison with other classification methods in present publications.As the similary value is "λ=0.690",42 lakes can be classified into 13 trophic types,among which parameters belonging to mesotrophic lakes are of significant similarity,as well as eutrophic ones,except total-nitrogen.totaJ-phosphorus and COD with remarkable differences, however, among which parameters belonging to oligotrophic lakes aren't of significant similarity,and a few parameters differ from the common parameter value, The results of fuzzy cluster analysis of lake trophic types are similar to those of the traditional methods, showing that fuzzy cluster analysis may be used in classification of lake trophic types.
